The officers were cited for acting professionally and contributing substantially to carrying out their assignments to evacuate, coordinate, monitor and patrol the villages of Voden and Kraynovo. They include Senior Commissioner Petar Antiev, Deputy Director of the General Directorate of Gendarmerie, Special Operations and Combating Terrorism (GDGSOCT), Senior Commissioner Viktor Prazov, GDGSOCT Deputy Director and Director of the Gendarmerie Directorate, and Commissioner Radoslav Stoynev, Deputy Director of the Gendarmerie Directorate.

At the brief ceremony at the Ministry, a special citation was handed to Junior Inspector Martin Nanchev of the Tsarevo Border-Crossing Checkpoint (on Bulgaria's border with Turkiye), whose professional work helped intercept a large quantity of narcotics during a Border Police inspection of a motor boat on July 16.

On August 16, Stoyanov handed citations to 59 firemen, border policemen, forest rangers, military and volunteers for their share in the firefighting effort.
