site.btaBTA to Present Project to Renovate Facade, Improve Access to Headquarters
The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) will present a project to renovate its facade and to improve accessibility to its headquarters Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Maxim Hall. The project aims to better the quality of the working environment, increase accessibility to the Agency's building and make it safer.
The project is implemented with own funds and with funds from the Beautiful Bulgaria project of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
Under the project's first measure, external lights will be installed on the building's facade, which can display various lighting scenarios. The sign that reads BTA and the clock installed on the building will also be replaced. To deliver this part of the project, BGN 291,627 will come from BTA's budget, while another BGN 149,965 will be provided under Beautiful Bulgaria. Under the project's second measure, the ramp flooring at the main entrance and the adjacent stairs will be replaced, and two wheelchair stair lifts will be installed. The measure will be implemented with BGN 29 092 from BTA's budget and BGN 87,277 from Beautiful Bulgaria.
BTA Director General Kiril Valchev told the Parliamentary Culture and Media Committee on August 1: "We are striving to maintain our building with the utmost care."
