site.btaItalian Theatre Director Carlo Bozo to Teach Acting Techniques at International Festival in Sozopol
The Italian director and playwright Carlo Bozo will lead practical classes in theatre art at the sixth edition of the Harlequin and Marionette International Festival of Puppet and Square Theatre in Sozopol from August 5 to 10, said the organizers on Thursday. Bozo will show and teach techniques of acting, improvisation, stage speech and rhythm during a workshop for professionals. The entrance will be free for all visitors.
The festival programme will include 24 theatre productions performed by 14 national and foreign acting troupes. The official opening of the festival will be marked by the actors from the Pazardzhik Drama and Puppet Theatre, who will perform the comedy Red Riding Hood.
Theatre productions for children will be presented by the Plovdiv State Puppet Theatre and the Krasno Selo Municipal Cultural Centre Theatre from Sofia. Artists from the Burgas State Puppet Theatre, the Subotica Children's Theater from Serbia and Baruti Teatro from Spain will also participate at the festival, as well as Comedian Daniel Mihailov - Vikenti.
The festival is organized with the support of Sozopol Municipality, Chernomorets City Hall, the National Culture Fund and the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia.
