The reindustrialization of Bulgaria has no alternative, said caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov at a briefing here Thursday on the occasion of an approved project for Industrial Park LVZ in Ruse. Earlier in the day, Minister Karadimov met with representatives of local businesses and institutions.

A total of 11 industrial zones and parks in the country will receive a grant of BGN 207 million under the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The project of Industrial Park LVZ received the highest score in the procedure, 89 points. It envisages reconstruction, rehabilitation and construction of a new technical feeder and internal infrastructure, including renovation of the building stock. The total eligible costs of the project amount to BGN 33,177,335,86, of which the company's own financing is BGN 7,066,119,73.

"Ruse is the city that has managed to preserve its industrial appearance and character. This project is a very good natural continuation of the tradition from 1886. Reindustrialization is the starting point for economic growth, innovation, social policy, wages start. That is why the Ministry has focused on this programme. The parks should start working from January 1, 2026," Karadimov said.

Industrial Park LVZ Manager Spasimir Dimitrov said that over BGN 70 million have already been invested in infrastructure, maintenance and production of engines and carriages, some of which are already being installed in the workshops, repair of buildings, machinery. “We will provide space, buildings and machinery”, Dimitrov said, adding that there is already interest from outside investors.

Bulmarket DM Director Momchil Boyadzhiev said that about 60 people are currently working in the industrial park, and the number will gradually increase to about 300.
