Young people from Bulgaria, Turkiye, Croatia and Lithuania will participate in the Playing Together Youth Exchange Project in the western village of Dolni Rakovets from August 5 to 16, said the organizers on Monday. "We join this project with great desire, because the cause is meaningful and will encourage the people of the village to unite for good deeds," said Dolni Rakovets Mayor Ioana Georgieva.

The aim of the project is to develop skills among the young generation to support the social and labour inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities. The activities will last ten days and will include non-formal training methods to develop communication and interaction skills with youth with specific needs, as well as to create work habits and knowledge in professions such as ecological and park construction, landscaping, agriculture, creative crafts and cooking.

Part of the project's programme will also include cultural evenings, during which young people will present the culture, sights and traditions of their countries through games, food, dance and music. The cultural evenings will be open to all residents and guests of the village.

The project is organized by the For Tomorrow Foundation with the support of Radomir Municipality and financed under the Erasmus+ programme.
