GERB leader Boyko Borissov congratulated Ursula von der Leyen on her re-election as President of the European Commission in a Facebook post Thursday.

“Dear Ursula von der Leyen, my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your re-election as European Commission President. Your success is also brings success and pride to the European People’s Party. I am happy that GERB is part of the biggest European political family,” Borissov’s post reads.

“Your leadership at the helm of the European Commission and your commitment to the future of European citizens is of key importance for all of us in Europe. I am convinced that Bulgaria will be able to count on your friendship and support,” Borissov wrote.
