site.btaBulgarian Foreign Ministry Asks Turkiye for Assistance in Fighting Wildfires

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has asked Turkiye for logistical assistance to Bulgarian firefighters. Sofia stressed the need for additional firefighting equipment, the Council of Ministers said on Wednesday.

The Foreign Ministry asked Ankara for four bulldozers with two crews each, two helicopters and any other equipment adapted to the harsh conditions and terrain.

Wild fires are burning at many locations across Bulgaria, stoked by near-record high temperatures.
