The fourth edition of the International Swimming Marathon, Port Burgas 2024, will be held in the area of Burgas Sea Station on Saturday, July 20. Nearly 200 participants have so far registered in the two events: 1,000 and 3,000 meters.

Among the entrants are swimmers from Bulgaria, Russia, Serbia, Turkiye, the Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Luxembourg and Ukraine. The event is organized by the Pobeda swimming club and the world champion and swimming record holder Tsanko Tsankov. Cash and other prizes are provided for the best swimmers.

"The conditions at the Sea Station are perfect. The water is very clean and warm. There is no swell or currents, making it suitable for all age groups. Everyone who completes the marathon will receive a medal, t-shirt and other memorabilia from this year's event," said Tsanko Tsankov.

Registration can be done online at burgasmarathon.com, and on-site on the day of the race. Anyone wishing to swim and receive a prize is welcome, said Tsankov.

He thanked the Burgas City Hall and the event's sponsors for their support.
