The meeting of the National Council of Continue the Change, which took place on Saturday in Sofia, has ended, Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) Floor Leader Nikolay Denkov told journalists Saturday evening.
The CC-DB coalition is now the second political power in the 50th National Assembly and is expected to get the second mandate to form a regular government. Denkov said that the CC is waiting for the position of the DB on the implementation of the second mandate.
Talks continue with the partners from DB, confirmed the CC co-chair Kiril Petkov. "They are currently meeting with their governing bodies and then we will meet together in coalition," he said. "The process is a bit slow, but we are thinking about it very carefully because it is important for all Bulgarians," Petkov said.
"I will not comment anything about the real conclusions before we have a common position of the coalition," he added.
Earlier this week, Head of State Rumen Radev said he would hand over a second exploratory mandate to form a government in the coming week.
