Creators from five countries will be performing at the Colourful Rooster Festival for Puppet Art, which opened on Friday in Pleven.

Drama and Puppet Theatre Director Dimitar Kabakov welcomed fans of all ages at the opening of the festival, while Deputy Mayor Elina Dimitrova wished all to enjoy amazing adventures. "They say that stories lull the little ones to sleep but wake up the big ones. Let's enjoy all the good things that lie ahead of us together", said Dimitrova.

A highlight of the opening of the festival was the presentation of the book "The Most Puppet Plays" by Magda Borisova. The publication tells about the world of small heroes with big souls.

The festival programme will last until July 8 and include performances by artists from Greece, Spain and Bosnia for the youngest audience (over 2 years old), for family audiences, for adults, as well as various creative workshops.
