Bulgarian Academy of Sciences President Julian Revalski held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Dai Qingli, BAS said on its website on Thursday. The BAS President acquainted the Ambassador with the ongoing joint projects between BAS, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The sides discussed the bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and China in the field of scientific research and, more specifically, space research. They agreed on a meeting with taikonauts from the China National Space Administration in October 2024. The meeting will be organized with the assistance of the Chinese Embassy in Sofia and co-organized by the Space Research and Technology Institute with BAS.
