Petko Glavinov won three medals at the European Masters Swimming Championships in Belgrade in the veteran age medley, said the Iris swimming club in Ruse on Wednesday. The 70-year-old swimmer recorded the best times in 100 and 200 meters backstroke, which brought him gold medals in both disciplines. Glavinov also won a silver medal in the 200 meter medley event.

Valery Mirchovski, born in 1962, placed fifth in the 800-meter freestyle and sixth in the 200-meter freestyle.

The competition included veteran swimmers from England, Germany, Israel, Hungary and France.
