At a European Council meeting in Brussels on June 27 and 28, caretaker Bulgarian Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will urge the EU leaders to reconfirm their conclusions regarding North Macedonia and to call on that country to take the steps specified there in order to make progress towards its European integration, the Government Information Service reported on Thursday.
The reference is to the Council Conclusions of December 14, 2023 and the Council Conclusions of July 18, 2022.
Bulgaria will insist that the June 28, 2024 Council conclusions include a text about North Macedonia, the press release said. According to Glavchev it is important to point to the key significance of honouring all commitments assumed and making progress in all reforms related to the EU.
