site.btaUnion of Food Industry to Organize Forum on Food Quality in Bulgaria

The Union of Food Industry with the Federation of the Scientific Engineering Unions in Bulgaria organizes a national business forum to discuss the quality of food products in Bulgaria. The event will take place in Sofia on June 26.

Тhe forum will focus on current issues in the field of food quality from the point of view of producers, processors, traders and consumers, as well as control and certification bodies in Bulgaria. The event will also discuss the interaction between different units in the food chain with competent authorities, the role of state institutions in stimulating Bulgarian food and beverages production, the protection of bona fide producers and the fight against illegal producers and importers of food and beverages. Legislation and new regulations related to food packaging requirements will also be discussed.

The forum will be attended by experts from state institutions, specialists from scientific institutes and branch organisations, heads of large companies, representatives of consumer and employer organisations, MPs and media representatives.
