site.btaNational Festival of Turkish Folklore to Be Held on June 29 in Dulovo

A national festival of Turkish folklore will be opened on June 29 in the village of Ruyno near Dulovo, said the organizers from Dulovo Municipality on Tuesday. 39 art collectives have applied for participation in the event.

The festival is one of its kind in Northeastern Bulgaria and will be held for the fifth time.

The first edition of the festival was hosted in 1994 as a review of Turkish artistic activity. Due to the great interest over the years, the review grew into a regional festival of Turkish folklore, and in 2018 it was declared a national festival.

The festival is part of the annual cultural calendar of the Silistra region.
