site.btaVarna Technical University Applies Modern Approaches in Interaction with Media, Says Rector Plamenov

The Technical University (TU) of Varna is part of the large university community in Bulgaria and applies modern approaches in its interaction with media, science and other universities, said Varna TU Rector Prof Dragomir Plamenov. He participated online in the third panel of the 19th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media here on Friday in, which is themed "Science and Universities as Appearing in Bulgarian Media".

"We provide our students with the opportunity to develop their media skills and share the important news and events of university life," Plamenov said. As an example, he mentioned the development of student television, student club and a network of social media.

"We organize press conferences, issue press releases, participate in specialized scientific columns in the Bulgarian media. All these initiatives not only implement the scientific achievements and discoveries of our university, but undoubtedly increase the social interest in science and technology," the Rector said.

The Professor also talked about the role of the media and the cooperation with BTA as an example of positive coverage of the events happening in university life. 

BTA is organizing the 19th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media in Odesa, Bolhrad, and Izmail, Ukraine, from June 18 to June 21, 2024. The event is taking place with the support of Aurubis Bulgaria, A1 Bulgaria, Glavbolgarstroy Holding AD, Euroins Insurance Group, Postbank, SOF Connect, and the 13 Centuries of Bulgaria National Endowment Fund.
