"I expect Parliament's agenda to be dictated by the interests of the state and society," President Rumen Radev said ahead of the new parliament's inaugural sitting.
"We live in complicated times and this parliament has to solve many issues accumulated over the years," Radev added. According to him, the great mission of every MP is to preserve peace and ensure the security of the country and of Bulgarian citizens in the complex geopolitical situation and raging war at Bulgaria's borders.
The most important thing, as Bulgarians, is to remember that with the oath that each of the MPs will take, they commit themselves to defend the state's interest and not the party's interest, to defend Bulgarian priorities and not foreign ones, the head of State said.
Radev wished success to the 50th National Assembly. "May it be better than the previous one," the President added.
