Radev stressed that spiritual elevation, humility and forgiveness go hand in hand with kindness and compassion and strengthen the moral foundations of the Bulgarian nation.
The President also noted that religious tolerance, respect and understanding are traditional for Bulgarian society and the celebration of Eid al-Adha creates bridges between people, which contribute to mutual understanding and moral growth of Bulgarian people.
In 2024, the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha is celebrated between June 16 and 19. The Muslim calendar follows the lunar cycles and therefore the holiday has no fixed date. Each year it shifts forward 10 days from the previous year.
