Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Nevyana Miteva attended the 8th Annual BBLF-Ambassadors Meeting, which was held in Sofia on June 13 under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in partnership with members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Bulgaria, Miteva's Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
Addressing the meeting, Miteva emphasized that land-border Schengen accession and admission to the eurozone remain key foreign-policy priorities of Bulgaria. Bulgaria aspires to introduce the common European currency in 2025, the Deputy Foreign Minister said the ambassadors and other participants in the event.
Miteva pointed out that Bulgaria's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development is an essential foreign-policy priority enjoying broad political support and institutional continuity, in which the national efforts are built up.
During the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister also addressed matters concerning Black Sea security, the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East.
