Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, President Rumen Radev said that the refusal of the majority of Bulgarian citizens to take part in the June 9 snap parliamentary elections shows clearly that they do not identify with "the election campaign messages, the black PR actively used in this campaign, and most of all with the parties' behaviour and actions after the elections." He said he expects parties to conduct a very deep and honest analysis on "why they chased citizens away from the ballot boxes, why it came to this deep жьз between Bulgarians and political parties."
Radev was approached by journalists while attending joint firing training within the Shabla 2024 exercise at the Shabla Air Force anti-aircraft firing range.
Asked about criticism by Delyan Peevski against a future political project of Radev, the President said that he would not comment on the panic attacks of any political leader.
Radev would not say when he will schedule the first sitting of Parliament.
