1965: The 199 Theatre opens in Sofia, now the Valentin Stoichev 199 Theatre. This is the first state chamber theatre. The name indicates the number of seats in the theatre.

1998: Bulgaria opens its Permanent Diplomatic Mission to NATO in Brussels.
