site.btaDefence Ministry Starts Campaign Dedicated to 20th Anniversary of Bulgaria's Membership in NATO

The Ministry of Defence started Monday a communication campaign mottoed “20 years of Bulgaria in NATO - together we defend what is important to us". The campaign is implemented with the support of NATO and will last until August 8, the organizers said. The event is part of a national programme and the Defence Ministry’s plan to mark the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria's membership in NATO and the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The initiative aims to remind that Bulgaria is already an established and reliable ally in the Alliance. Joining NATO was a historic moment for Bulgaria, that not only provided the strongest guarantees for this country’s security, but also contributed to its development as a free and democratic state.

The campaign includes audio-visual content that will be distributed through national TV, radio and social networks, as well as outdoor advertising in a number of cities across the country. Some of the visuals feature members of NATO's multinational battlegroup in Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarian F-16 pilots training alongside American servicemen in the United States. The initiatives demonstrate Bulgaria's belonging to the largest politico-military alliance in history and to the united community of shared values, collective defence and common responsibilities.
