Caretaker Deputy Minister of Defence Adelina Nikolova awarded here on Saturday certificates and diplomas to participants in the 16th International Defence Equipment and Services Exhibition "HEMUS 2024", the Ministry of Defence said.
She thanked the companies, manufacturers and organizations that presented their products and technological achievements, said the organizers of the exhibition - Hemus-95 Foundation and the Armaments Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, and the hosts from International Fair Plovdiv.
Earlier in the day, members of the Joint Special Operations Command demonstrated various techniques, tactics and procedures trained and applied by the Special Forces. They demonstrated action with combat dogs - moving and shooting from different positions of and arresting an intruder resisting inside and outside a vehicle. The demonstrations generated a lot of interest and earned a standing ovation from the audience. Special Forces operators demonstrated shooting from various distances and positions - standing, kneeling and prone.
More than 150 companies and organizations from 25 countries, 80 of which Bulgarian, took part in the specialized exhibition. At the invitation of the Minister of Defence, the exhibition was visited by over 20 foreign delegations from various countries. A Bulgarian-Ukrainian defence industries forum was held as part of the exhibition as well.
