A coordination meeting of Black Sea Mine Countermeasure Task Group (MCM Black Sea) was held in Ankara on Friday, said the Turkish Ministry of National Defense on social network X.

The Ministry said the meeting was held within the framework of MCM Black Sea at the Turkish Naval Forces Headquarters with the participation of personnel from the Bulgarian, Romanian and Turkish Naval Forces.

In January, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the governments of Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkiye on the establishment of a Mine Counter-measures Task Group Black Sea. In May, the Bulgarian caretaker cabinet adopted a decision on the sending and use outside Bulgaria's territory of military equipment and personnel within MCM Black Sea.
