In a thrilling match in Fukuoka, Japan on Friday, the Bulgarian National Volleyball Team secured a 3:2 victory over Iran in round 7 of the Nations League. The set scores were 20:25, 25:22, 25:23, 20:25, 15:11.

The rebuilding Bulgarian team, led by Italian coach Gianlorenzo Blengini, won in the tie-break, with Asparuhov scoring 4 of his 12 points, including 2 aces. Petkov was Bulgaria's highest scorer with 20 points, while Grozdanov contributed an additional 14 points.

Iran remained winless after seven matches, with Amin Esmaeilnezhad being their top scorer with 16 points. Bulgaria's next match is on June 9 against Slovenia.
