National Opera's Ballet to Perform at Sounds of Oradea Festival in Romania

The National Opera's ballet will perform at the Sounds of Oradea Festival in Romania, the Sofia Opera and Ballet said on Tuesday. The festival's third edition will take place from June 14 to 16 and includes three programmes in popular cultural venues in Oradea. The opening and closing events will be held at Union Square.

Тhe Bulgarian performers will close the festival. They will present parts of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty, Minkus' Don Quixote, Adam's The Corsair, and Biset-Schedrin's Carmen Suite. Among the performers are Marta Petkova, Katerina Petrova, Nikola Hadjitanev, Tsetso Ivanov, and Frederico Pinto. 

The artistic director of Sounds of Oradea Festival is Spanish conductor David Gimenes Carreras, nephew of famous tenor Jose Carreras.
