Addressing an election campaign event in Silistra on Saturday, Civic Bloc Coalition leader and former prosecutor general Ivan Geshev said that the biggest crime of the politicians in Bulgaria is that they killed people's hope that something depends on them.
Geshev added that political parties in the country are business projects and their main activity is trade in power and positions. He argued that today's politicians do not perceive the State as their own and do not have the feeling that they should work in the interest of the people.
"The big problem with these projects is that when they have to do work and make decisions that will pay off in five to 10 years, they prefer to please people. We are trying to make a real political project. We have to select people with different qualities. We do it with the clear awareness that this is a long process," Geshev said.
In Silistra, Geshev presented the coalition's list of candidates for MPs, the leader of which is entrepreneur Yordan Stoyanov.
