site.btaPresident Radev to Pay Official Visits to Hungary, Switzerland
On May 25 and 26, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will pay an official visit to Hungary at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart Tamas Sulyok, Radev’s press secretariat said Friday. During the visit, the two heads of State will unveil the Bulgarian Cultural and Educational Centre in Budapest. The building will host Bulgarian educational, cultural institutions, and NGOs.
Radev and Sulyok will hold a tete-a-tete meeting and will chair plenary talks between the Bulgarian and Hungarian delegations, after which joint statements will follow.
During his visit, Radev will meet with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The two sides will discuss deepening bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest, including energy, economy, investment, culture and education.
On May 27, the Bulgarian President will be on a working visit to Switzerland, where he will hold a meeting with his Swiss counterpart Viola Amherd. The two sides are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, innovation, education and security.
Within the framework of his visit to Switzerland, Radev will also visit the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne at the invitation of IOC President Thomas Bach. Radev and Bach will hold a tete-a-tete meeting and discuss the prospects for Bulgaria to host the Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2028.
