site.btaDefence Minister, Chief of Defence to Take Part in Spring Session of NATO Parliamentary Assembly
Bulgaria's caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov and the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov, will take part in the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on May 25 and join the discussions on NATO's role in enhancing security in the Black Sea region, the Defence Ministry reported here on Thursday.
The spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will take place from May 25 to 27 in Sofia. It is dedicated to NATO’s 75th anniversary and will be attended by nearly 400 parliamentarians from the Alliance’s 32 member states and 25 partner countries and parliamentary organizations. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is also expected to arrive in Bulgaria to take part in the high-level forum.
A meeting between Zapryanov and Eftimov and the parliamentary delegation of Ukraine will take place during the session.
