A new exhibition by Bulgarian artist Nadya Stancheva, titled "Seasonal Premonitions" can be viewed from May 21 to June 14 in Art Gallery Pagane, the organizers said on Tuesday.
"Nadya's authorial searches are markedly on the edge of reality. They depict the seemingly simple definition of the familiar in a unique and memorable way. Serenity, dynamism and delicate colour flow from her paintings," the team notes.
Stancheva was born in 1963 in Stara Zagora. She is a graduate of the National School of Dance in Sofia. Until 1994 she worked at the Stara Zagora State Opera. She studied painting in the studio of Arshak Nersisyan and ceramics in the studio of Boncho Ivanov. Her preferred genres are landscape and still life. Nadya Stancheva has participated in numerous international plein-air workshops and symposiums in Bulgaria, Montenegro, Austria and the Czech Republic.
