BTA is publishing the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party for all constituencies for the June 9 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates was provided by the respective party/coalition.

A total of 31 candidates' lists of 20 parties and 11 coalitions have been registered by the Smolyan Constituency Election Commission.

The order follows the sequential numbers on the ballots, as drawn by the Central Election Commission:

  1. There Is Such a People Party: Andrey Kadishev. Graduated from Varna Technical University. Worked as a transport manager. Former Smolyan regional governor and secretary of the district administration. Works at the National Electrical Company;
  2. Glas Naroden (People's Voice) Party: Sonya Ilieva;
  3. Blue Bulgaria Coalition (nine parties: Conservative Alliance of the Right (KOD); Bulgarian Democratic Forum; Democratic Action Movement; National Movement for Stability and Upsurge; Bulgaria of the Citizens Movement; Conservative Bulgaria Party; Radical Democratic Party in Bulgaria; Bulgarian New Democracy Party; Agrarian People's Union): Emil Ruzhenov. Holds Master's degrees in Physics, in Law and a PhD in Physics. For ten years was head of the education inspectorate of Smolyan region. Worked as a legal advisor and as a director of a directorate in Bulgarian Post. He is currently a lawyer;
  4. We the Citizens Coalition (three parties: Bulgarian Spring; Competence, Responsibility and Truth (KOI); Bulgarian Workers'-Peasants' Party): Maxim Velkov. Holds a master's degree in Organization and Management of Production in the Transport Industry from the Karl Marx Institute (UNWE). Until 2001, he was an employee of the Security Service and the National Security Service in a managerial position. Works in private business, has published two books of poetry;
  5. No registered list of candidates;
  6. Bulgarian Voice Party: Aleksandar Karov. A graduate from the Plovdiv Branch of the Technical University – Sofia. The owner and manager of the ALEX KAR 91 company in Smolyan, engaged in car service activities;
  7. Rose Coalition (three parties: Bulgarian Social Democracy - EuroLeft; United Labour Bloc Bulgarian Labourists; Rodolyubie 2000): Tihomir Vasilev. Is in the process of graduating from UniBIT, majoring in Public Policies and Practices. An entrepreneur, working in a family company, engaged in commercial activities, participant in the 2021 national protests;
  8. Centre Coalition (two parties: Svoboda [Freedom]; Bulgarian Agrarian Party): Atanas Karadzhov. Graduated in kinesiotherapy at South-west University Neofit Rilski. Was a municipal councillor in the Smolyan Municipal Council;
  9. Bulgarian Solidarity Coalition (three parties: Rise Up Bulgaria; Bulgarian Left; United Social Democracy): Sevide Kabakova. Graduated from a branch of Plovdiv University in Smolyan, in computer and communication systems. For many years worked in the system of GORUBSO - Madan, the last years was an office manager of private companies;
  10. Edinenie (Unity) Party: Andrey Andonov. The director and producer of the films Nobody, Yatagan and the documentary series The Road. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Ecology, a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, and is a certified film producer and director in Ireland;
  11. Bulgarian National Alliance (BNO) Party: Radoslava Todorova. Works as a marketing expert, developing in the IT field;
  12. Vazrazhdane Party: Angel Georgiev. A graduate in Law from the University of Veliko Tarnovo St. Cyril and St. Methodius. One of the founders of Revival and a member of the Organizing Council, as well as a regional coordinator of Revival for Plovdiv and Smolyan regions. Works for several large companies, in the outsourcing, communication systems and human resources management. MP in the 47th, 48th and 49th National Assemblies;
  13. Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) Party: Stoyan Kovachev. Has a higher education at the Technical University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Technology. Owns a business;
  14. Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Continue the Change; VOLT; Democrats for Strong Bulgaria; Yes, Bulgaria Movement): Mihail Kambarev. Graduated in Public Relations from Sofia University. Passed an intensive program in business development in the American cities of Boston, New York and San Francisco. MP and Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Preventing and Combating Corruption and a member of the Committee on Economic Policy and Innovation;
  15. The Truth and Nothing but the Truth People's Party: Ognyan Simeonov. A nutritionist;
  16. Bulgarian Rise Party: Mitko Dimitrov. Studied in Moscow at the Institute of Industrial Electronics. Worked in the Russian capital for 6 years. Was a presidential candidate of Bulgaria in 1996. A poet and composer;
  17. Civic Bloc Coalition (Radicals Bulgarian Democratic Union, Bulgarian Women's Party): Kamen Hristov. Former serviceman of the Bulgarian army, a graduate of a higher military school. He is engaged in private business;
  18. Society for New Bulgaria Party: Svetoslav Savelev. Holds Master's degrees in Economics and Clinical Psychology. Works as a psychotherapist. Speaks English and uses German and Turkish. Has been a member of the party since 2015;
  19. The Left! Coalition (ABV (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival), Movement 21, Green Party, Alexander Stamboliiski Agrarian Party, National Movement for Salvation of the Fatherland, Social Democrats Political Movement): Boycho Moshev. Graduated from the Medical University - Sofia, specializing in surgery. Defended his dissertation in Surgery and started to work as Associate Professor at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital – Sofia;
  20. Party of the Greens: Lyubomir Kyosev;
  21. Here We Come Party: Gancho Ganchev. Graduated from the Agrarian University in Plovdiv and from the St. Cyril and St. Methodius University in Veliko Tarnovo. Holds a master's degree in agricultural engineering and is an agricultural machinery engineer. Has a business in the field of transport;
  22. GERB-UDF Coalition (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and Union of Democratic Forces (UDF)): Krasimir Sabev. Holds master’s degrees in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Public Health and Health Management. He is the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the MBAL Dr. Bratan Shukerov. MP in the 44th, 47th and 48th National Assemblies. Representative of the civic quota;
  23. Bulgarian National Union New Democracy Party: Petar Videnov;
  24. BSP for Bulgaria Coalition (Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP); Ecoglasnost Political Club; Trakia Political Club): Emil Humchev. Holds a degree in Organization and Management of Tourist Services and master’s degree in Management of Hotel and Restaurant Activities from the South-West University Neofit Rilski in Blagoevgrad. A former regional governor of Smolyan;
  25. Velichie [Grandeur] Party: Kristian Karabelyov. Graduated in Ecology from the Branch of Plovdiv University in Smolyan, holds a master's degree Biology. Teacher. Works in the Pamporovo resort in the tourist sphere and has a private business;
  26. VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement Party: Nikola Kiryakov. Graduated in Accounting and Control from the University of Veliko Tarnovo. Engaged in real estate and restoration of old houses;
  27. Direct Democracy Party: Valeri Tsenkov;
  28. Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Party: Hairy Sadakov. Graduated in Economics/Circular Economics from Varna Free University; 
  29. Green Movement Party: Borislav Sandov. Bachelor of Geography and Master of Hydroclimatic Resources Management from Sofia University. Coordinator for Climate Coalition Bulgaria and a campaign coordinator for the Environment and Agriculture Foundation. MP of the 45th and 46th National Assemblies. Was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Water in the government of Kiril Petkov;
  30. Party for Great Bulgaria: Pavlina Vlachkova. Economist with experience in management positions in private business;
  31. Bulgarian Union for Direct Democracy (BSDD): Nevena Georgieva;
  32. Neutral Bulgaria Coalition (four parties: Communist Party of Bulgaria; Bulgarian Communist Party; Party of Bulgarian Communists; Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland): Petar Georgiev.
