Health Minister Dr. Galya Kondeva issued an order extending for another month the ban on exports of certain groups of medicines, the ministry's press office said on Thursday. These are insulins and analogues, and other blood sugar-lowering drugs, as well as antibiotics intended for systemic use in childhood.
The Health Minister justified her order with data from inspections which found delayed or refused supply from the warehouses of wholesalers of said medicines.
The current export ban on these groups of medicines expires on May 16. This order takes effect on Friday, May 17, and will remain in effect until June 16, 2024.
