Sofia Airport has officially added its first Baltic destination with flights operated by the Latvian airline airBaltic. The company's plane was greeted on Tuesday at the capital's airport with a traditional water salute, although the flight has already been in operation for several weeks.
This is the airline's first route from Sofia Airport, and the flights will take place three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, connecting the Bulgarian capital with Riga, the capital of Latvia.
