site.btaBTA Hosts "Europe in the Balkans" Conference in Smolyan
A conference of the series "Europe in the Balkans: A Common Future", organized by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), is taking place at the agency's press club in Smolyan on Tuesday, May 14. Central and local government officials, experts and the team of the Regional Information Centre in Smolyan are taking part in the event.
The conference will discuss novelties in the programming period 2021-2027 and the results achieved over the previous period, 2014-2020.
The BTA project "Europe in the Balkans: A Common Future" is supported by the European Commission. It is aimed to provide information to the general public and encourage open dialogue about the EU cohesion policy, to present the results achieved at the local level and to highlight the implementation of EU political priorities.
The opening conference was held in Sofia on December 20, 2023. In 2024, BTA has hosted discussions in 27 Bulgarian towns and transborder meetings in Belgrade, Bosilegrad, Bucharest, Edirne, Skopje and Thessaloniki.
