Sofia, March 24 (BTA) - On Monday evening His Holiness, the Patriarch of the Bulgarian Church Neophyte, sent a message to the people expressing his care and his prayers for the salvation of all victims of the virus, as well as all who are sick and are suffering.
Patriarch Neophyte appealed to all lay people to abide by the requirements of the state of emergency in all eparchies and follow the instructions of their local metropolitans and the Holy Synod. He said that faith and the love of God in everyone are a shield that will preserve them from daily challenges and will fortify them in the name of God.
Even staying at home, facing their own home icons, people can open their hearts to Jesus Christ and ask for salvation of the sick, support for the medics, the government and the army and anyone who spares no effort in these times of trial, the Patriarch said, ending his address with "God bless Bulgaria!"
