site.btaESC Officials Give High Marks to Arena Burgas
Officials of the European Shooting Confederation have highs marks to Arena Burgas, which is applying to host the European Shooting Championships in 2026.
Anna Leshchikova, Laszlo Sinka and Robert Ferencak inspected the hall and met with Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. The delegation enquired about the hall facilities, the accommodation and transport.
They said that they are impressed with the modern facility and that they are visiting as partners who can help Bulgaria organize big competitions.
Burgas Mayor Nikolov ensured them that Burgas will be an excellent host.
On Wednesday the ESC officials met with Youth and Sports Minister Georgi Glouchkov.
The other candidate is Armenia's capital Yerevan.
The ESC is expected to name the host city at the end of May. Bulgaria hasn't hosted a big shooting event in more than 30 years.
