site.bta5,419 Newly Built Residential Buildings Completed in 2023

The number of newly built residential buildings in 2023 was 5,419, and the newly built dwellings in them were 22,649, the National Statistical Institute said on Tuesday.

A total of 76.1% of the newly built residential buildings were built with reinforced concrete, 20.7% were brick built, 2.9% had other structure, and 0.3% were plattenbauten.

Most of the newly built dwellings had two rooms (36.4%) and three rooms (33.2%), while the lowest share had six or more rooms (4.6%).

The average useful floor space of a newly built dwelling in 2023 was 2,240.7 thousand sq m, and the living floor space was 1,766.6 thousand sq m.
