The mountains offer good hiking conditions on Tuesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA.

The weather is clear and sunny, with snow still covering the high-lying areas.

The MRS has reported an accident involving a Romanian hiker near Vihren Peak in the Pirin Mountains. The man injured his head and was assisted by mountain rescuers from Bansko and Razlog. The hiker was wearing inappropriate equipment for the winter conditions in the high mountains, the MRS noted.
