Burgas State University received a high evaluation from the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency, which will allow the university to significantly expand its potential, said university Rector Prof Hristo Bozov on Wednesday.
“What is different about this accreditation is that it gives us the right to teach up to 6,600 students, which is approximately twice as many as now”, said Bozov. The accreditation is for a period of six years. Bozov noted that this will give the university a strong impetus to open new programmes, and also to attract new students from abroad.
The university will also introduce a programme related to green technology in the Faculty of Science, as well as three new programmes in the Faculty of Social Sciences, aimed at training teachers to work with children with special educational needs.
