The Council of Ministers adopted a decision on the approval of a draft agreement between the government of Bulgaria and the World Meteorological Organization, represented by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), concerning its 61st session, which will be held in Sofia from July 26 to August 2.

The IPCC convenes at least once a year.

Bulgaria's hosting of the 61st session is of great importance for the country's active participation and engagement in global efforts to tackle climate change. It represents not only an opportunity to draw attention to national initiatives and achievements in the field of environment, but also to establish important partnerships and exchange best practices with other countries and organizations.
