site.btaMinistry of Finance Publishes Data on Implementation of Consolidated Fiscal Programme as of End-March
Based on the data from the monthly cash execution reports of the budgets of the primary budget authorities, the balance of the Consolidated Fiscal Programme (CFP) on a cash basis as of March 2024 is positive in the amount of BGN 403.7 million (0.2% of the estimated GDP), the Ministry of Finance said on Tuesday.
Revenues, grants and donations under the CFP as of March 2024 amount to BGN 15.757 billion or 20.9% of the annual estimates. The receipts increased by BGN 1.065 billion (7.2%) over the March 2023 estimates. Compared to the same period in 2023, tax revenue increased by BGN 209.1 million (1.8%) in nominal terms and non-tax revenue decreased by BGN 118.7 million (4.9%) due to a decrease in receipts from the sale of greenhouse gas emission allowances under the EUSF budget.
The CFP expenditure (including Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget) as of March 2024 amounts to BGN 15.353 billion, which is 18.8% of the annual estimates.
The amount of the fiscal reserve as of March 31 is BGN 11.877 billion, including BGN 9.977 billion of deposits of the fiscal reserve with the BNB and banks and BGN 1.9 billion of receivables from the European Union funds for certified expenditure, advances and others.
