site.btaMRF's Delyan Peevski: "I Want to See Voters' Choice and Then Discuss Options" for Government
Delyan Peevski, one of the two leaders of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), said, that while everybody is speculating on who wants or does not want to be in a coalition with MRF, nobody is asking MRF what it wants. "I would like to see the popular vote and afterwards we’ll discuss scenarios," he said. He was speaking to reporters in Parliament - and grabbed the opportunity to lash out at Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria and more specifically its co-leader Kiril Petkov.
Using language obviously meant to humiliate and diminish, he likened Kiril Petkov to "a sweet poodle who would scratch at the door in Bankya”. Bankya is the Sofia suburb where GERB leader Boyko Borissov lives.
Shortly before that, Petkov told the media that Delyan Peevski is hanging at Borissov’s neck is suffocating him.
Peevski also said that the CC-DB "project is over".
Earlier on Friday, Borissov said that GERB won’t coalesce with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. Reacting to his words, Peevski asked “who told you that the MRF want”. He speculated that the MRF “may stand between GERB and CC-DB". Then the Movement will act like a balancer and make sure that “Kiril Petkov and his company won’t steal the state“. Peevski added that he won’t allow the Bulgarian services and the Bulgarian judicial system to be destroyed.
