site.bta23 Parties, 11 Coalitions Apply for Registration for June 9 Elections

A total of 23 parties and 11 coalitions have applied with the Central Election Commission (CEC) for registration for the European and national parliament elections on June 9, CEC told BTA on Wednesday. The application submission deadline expired at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Initiative committees can register independent candidates for Members of European Parliament from April 25 to April 29.

As of 25 April, CEC will also start registering lists of candidates for Members of the European Parliament. The deadline is May 7.
