Queues of cars were formed in front of car wash facilities in Smolyan on Wednesday after the region experienced rain mixed with sand from the Sahara desert, which left cars covered in orange-brown fine dust and sand.
The person on duty at the Rozhen Meteorological Station said that there is nothing extraordinary happening. "The phenomenon is normal for the month of April and is observed every year. It is due to the winds that bring the sand to our country", noted the expert.
