Elvira Krasnobaeva Wins Silver Medal in Ribbon Final Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku

Elvira Krasnobaeva won a silver medal in the ribbon final of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku (Azerbaijan) and finished fourth in bars. The other Bulgarian, Eva Brezalieva, placed seventh in the ribbon final.

Krasnobaeva played her ribbon composition very strongly and was scored 33.350 points (16.900 difficulty; 8.250 artistry; 8.300 performance) and won the silver.
Brezalieva received 30.150 points (14.600; 7.950; 7.600) for her performance and finished in seventh position. 

The world champion Darja Varfolomeev (Germany) took the gold medal in ribbon with 33.400 points, and Taisiia Onofriichuk (Ukraine) came third with 33.200.
Krasnobaeva took fourth place in the bars final with 33.250 points (16.600; 8.300; 8.350).

The Italian Sofia Raffaeli became the champion with 34,550 points, followed by Taisiia Onofriichuk with 33,800 and Darja Varfolomeev with 33,550 points.
Earlier on Sunday, Eva Brezalieva won a silver and bronze medal in the ball and hoop finals, respectively. The other Bulgarian, Elvira Krasnobaeva, who came second in the all-around, placed fifth in the ball and seventh in the hoop.

So far, Bulgaria has four silver and one bronze medal from the competition.

Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation President Iliana Raeva praised Bulgarian gymnasts Elvira Krasnobaeva (silver and bronze in balls and hoop) and Eva Brezalieva (silver in ribbon).

“Another solid performance of the world champion Darja Varfolomeev (Germany) and well-deserved gold medals. Bulgaria has not yet shown its best!" Raeva wrote on social networks.
