site.btaTwo Bulgarians Injured after Bus Flips Over in Turkiye

Eleven people were injured in a traffic accident in Turkiye on Friday noon, when a bus with Bulgarian registration owned by the company Metro Turizm crashed some 50 km away from the Derekoy border control check point, the Anadolu Agency reported. Bulgaria's Consul General in Edirne, Borislav Dimitrov, told BTA that among the injured were two Bulgarian citizens.

The bus flipped over in Kirklareli District on its way from Istanbul to Dobrich. Police, gendarmerie and emergency teams were sent to the area. The mayor of Kirklareli, Derya Bulut, also arrived.

One of the Bulgarian citizens who was examined had minor injuries. They underwent an MRI scan and left the hospital. The other Bulgarian citizen is in a Turkish state hospital in Kirklareli at the moment, and their condition is relatively good, Dimitrov said.

Of the 14 bus passengers, 11 were injured. Two of them were seriously injured, two had moderate injuries and seven had minor injuries.
