GERB supports the idea to hold an extraordinary sitting of Parliament to discuss the Balkan Gas Hub, Lukoil, and the deal between Bulgaria’s Bulgargaz and Turkish energy company BOTAS, GERB leader Boyko Borissov told journalists on the sidelines of Parliament.
Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) submitted on Thursday a proposal for an extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly to consider the report of the ad-hoc committee on the contract between Bulgargaz and BOTAS.
About Friday’s meeting between caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and President Rumen Radev, Borissov said he had no expectations and added that he did not even know about it.
He also commented on the state of the country's finances and its upcoming entry into the eurozone. "Three years ago, when we met all the criteria and were admitted to the most transparent organization in the European Banking Union, to the waiting room of the eurozone together with Croatia. The reason why we are not in the euro area has its roots three years ago. Now we can only hear negative news, but we had it coming," Borissov said.
Commenting on whether GERB will be able to work with CC-DB, Borissov said that it all depends on CC-DB.
