This is not a caretaker cabinet, this is [GERB leader] Boyko Borissov’s cabinet, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov told journalists on Tuesday, before the party's press conference at the National Press Club of BTA in Sofia, where the party presents its candidates for the European Parliament. Also, this government is directly commanded by the US government, Kostadinov added.

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev proposed Daniel Mitov to take Stefan Dimitrov's post at the foreign ministry on Monday. “We will table a motion for a hearing of caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev because this constitutes a gross interference in Bulgaria's internal affairs,” Kostadinov said.

"Everything that happened is following a reaction of the Assistant Secretary [O’Brien], who was at the so-called Crimea Platform in Sofia, regarding the soft statement of the Bulgarian Foreign Minister. They need hawks to continuously incite Bulgarian society against Russia," he said.

It is obvious that a career diplomat like Dimitrov is not acceptable to the US Embassy, Kostadinov believes. The fact that Boyko Borissov on Monday dared to order the minister's replacement is clear enough, he added.

According to Vazrazhdane, President Rumen Radev should not sign the decree to replace the minister.
