On this date in Bulgarian history:

1909: Britain, France and Italy recognize Bulgaria's independence declared September 22, 1908.

1992: Bulgaria's Consulate General in Minsk, Belarus, is transformed into embassy.

1992: Association of Commercial Banks is set up in Plovdiv. Renamed Association of Banks in Bulgaria in 2007.

1999: Government launches airlift operation to transport Kosovo refugees from Macedonia to Bulgaria.
