Bulgaria and Bulgarian folklore will be presented during the traditional spring festival and concert organized by the Austrian Vancouver Club Melody Choir, the Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia said in a Facebook post.

Among the participants who will represent Bulgaria are dance groups Zornitsa, Kitka, Hubavici and Folk Mystery, the instrumental performers Kosta Ruslanov and Gencho Kalaykov, as well as Hristo Popov, who will perform a Kuker dance.

Organizers announce that the spring festival will be held on Sunday, April 7, at the Austrian Club of Vancouver. The festival will start at noon and the cultural programme featuring Bulgarian ensembles and performers will begin two hours later.

The Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia is an association of Bulgarians living in Vancouver and the surrounding area, established in 2001. Its main goal is to preserve the Bulgarian spirit, traditions and culture by uniting the Bulgarian community and enriching its social life.
